This lesson introduces students to the use of diminutive (diminutivo) and augmentative (aumentativo) modifiers for nouns, a simple Spanish grammatical device that is extremely useful in everyday conversation. There are eight card sets. Each card set consists of eight vocabulary picture/word cards, eight diminutive picture/word cards and eight augmentative picture/word cards. Each card contains the Spanish name and a picture. This lesson is divided into 3 activities.
Activity 1: Includes 8 vocabulary cards and a printable page for coloring or cutting and pasting.
Activity 2: Includes an exercise designed to reinforce the lesson.

A Teacher’s Lesson Plan is included which enables Montessori teachers and parents with little or no previous experience in Spanish instruction to begin teaching Spanish immediately.
