This lesson introduces students to basic adjectives and prepositions that are used with the verb estar (“to be”).   There are 12 cards that are used so that the control of error is the lesson itself.  Each card shows two opposite (antonym) adjectives or prepositions (16 adjectives and 8 prepositions). The lesson is divided into two activities. Each activity addresses a different way of using the verb estar.

Description

Activity 1: Includes 8 vocabulary cards in puzzle format and a printable page for coloring or cutting and pasting.

Activity 2: Includes 4 vocabulary cards in puzzle format and a printable page for coloring or cutting and pasting.

This lesson is ideal for Preschool students who have basic conversational competence in English and should be introduced after the Adjetivos and Ser lesson.  A Teacher’s Lesson Plan is included which enables Montessori teachers and parents with little or no previous experience in Spanish instruction to begin teaching Spanish immediately.
